Terms of Use

PURPOSE

 

These Terms outline the legal conditions governing all Annual and Lifetime Memberships, as well as general website use, donations, and communications associated with the NAACP Quad Cities Branch #5458.

 

By enrolling as a member, making a payment, or accessing the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

Membership and participation are open to individuals and organizations that support the mission, vision, and objectives of the NAACP. Users under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian’s consent to register.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

 

A. Lifetime Memberships

Lifetime memberships include the following tiers:

  • Junior Life

  • Bronze Life

  • Silver Life

  • Gold Life

  • Diamond Life

Each tier offers specific benefits as outlined on the membership page and may include recognition, invitations to events, and access to exclusive initiatives.

 

B. Annual Memberships

Annual memberships include:

  • Youth

  • Regular Adult

  • Annual Corporate

Each category provides access to community programs, events, and civic engagement opportunities as described on the membership page.

 

4. MEMBERSHIP DURATION

 

Lifetime Memberships

  • Lifetime memberships are permanent and valid for the life of the individual.

  • They are non-transferable and non-renewable.

  • Lifetime status applies solely to the individual listed on the membership record.

Annual Memberships

  • Valid for one (1) year from the date of enrollment.

  • The enrollment date and due date are the same.

  • Members must renew annually to maintain active status and benefits.

  • The Branch may send renewal reminders but is not obligated to ensure renewal.

 

PAYMENTS & PRICING

  • All membership and donation payments are due in full at the time of submission.

  • Payments are non-transferable and generally non-refundable, except in cases of administrative error or unauthorized transactions (see Refund Policy).

  • The Branch reserves the right to modify membership prices or benefits for new members at any time.

  • Accepted payment methods will be listed on the Site.

 

REFUND POLICY

 

Refunds will only be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate transactions or administrative errors.

  • Verified cases of fraud or unauthorized payments.

  • Overpayment of membership fees or donations.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of payment to:

Please include your full name, transaction details, and reason for the request.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10–14 business days.

Refunds will not be issued for voluntary cancellations, unused benefits, or late renewals.

 

MEMBER BENEFITS

 

Members may receive:

  • Invitations to local and national NAACP events.

  • Access to educational programs and community engagement opportunities.

  • Recognition as an active member or Lifetime Member.

  • Additional benefits that may vary by membership type and tier.

All benefits are subject to change or adjustment at the discretion of the Branch.

 

UPGRADING MEMBERSHIP TIERS (LIFETIME MEMBERS)

 

Lifetime members may upgrade from one tier to another (e.g., Silver → Gold).
Upgrades require payment of the difference between the tiers.
Requests must be approved by the Branch before processing.

 

MEMBER CONDUCT

 

Members agree to:

  • Uphold the mission, vision, and core values of the NAACP.

  • Conduct themselves respectfully and ethically in all organizational activities.

  • Avoid discrimination, harassment, or behavior harmful to the Branch’s reputation.

  • Refrain from using the NAACP name or logo for personal, commercial, or political gain without authorization.

Violation of these standards may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

 

CANCELLATION & TERMINATION

 

Members may cancel their membership at any time by notifying the Branch in writing.
Cancellations do not qualify for refunds.
The Branch reserves the right to terminate membership for misconduct, policy violations, or any action deemed harmful to the organization’s integrity or mission.

 

WEBSITE USE

 

By accessing or using our website, you agree to:

  • Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

  • Not attempt to interfere with, damage, or disrupt the Site or its servers.

  • Not collect or misuse any data or personal information belonging to others.

  • Not impersonate any person, organization, or entity affiliated with the NAACP.

The Branch may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if any misuse or violation occurs.

 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

All content on this Site—including logos, images, text, videos, and other materials—is owned or licensed by the NAACP Quad Cities Branch #5458 or the NAACP National Organization.
Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of this content is strictly prohibited without written consent.

 

DONATIONS

 

All donations made through the Site are voluntary and non-refundable, except in verified cases of administrative or technical error.
Donation records will be retained in accordance with nonprofit recordkeeping laws.

 

PRIVACY & DATA USE

 

Personal information collected through the Site or membership forms is used solely for:

  • Managing memberships and donations.

  • Communicating organizational updates and event information.

  • Recordkeeping in compliance with nonprofit regulations.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with outside organizations except when required by law or necessary for secure payment processing.
